The trick here is to apply pressure behind the head of the drain plug with a small flat bar such as is used to pull nails. This won't work if there isn't enough room to get behind it or if the head isn't big enough. Next I would suggest using a vise grip on it and pull while turning it, watch for those bloody knuckles!..
